Kalkan — Stone Lanes, Sea Views, Slow Evenings

Kalkan Holidays

Kalkan is small in the best way.
White houses on the hill, a pretty harbor, dinners that stretch into the night.
It is also home ground for us. We grew up working this coast through Kaska Villa. With Holitat, we use that local network to plan days that feel easy, the right stay, the right boat, the right hour for the beach.

Below is what you will find on our Kalkan pages and how we shape trips here.

Where to stay

Villa rentals
Private pools, sea views, space to spread out. We shortlist villas that match your style, couple, family, group, honeymoon, and handle keys, gates, and last mile directions.

Apartment rentals
Central bases near cafés and the harbor. Great for short stays and strong value outside peak season.

Boutique stays
Small hotels with a view, calm breakfasts, and a front desk that actually knows your name.

What to do, and when

Sea days and boat time

  • Private boat to quiet coves. A simple plan, four to seven hours, three to four swim stops, lunch on board. We match the route to the weather and your pace.

  • Kekova and Kaleköy. Sunken ruins you can spot from the boat or by kayak, then a short castle climb for a wide view. Early start, easy water, back before dinner.

  • Golden hour cruise. Two soft hours when the coast glows. One swim, fruit or tea, photos, back in time for meze.

Beaches and easy swims

  • Kaputaş Beach. Famous for a reason. Go early or near sunset. Short, steep steps, the color is worth it.

  • Patara Beach. Eighteen kilometers of sand next to the ancient city. Great for long walks, dunes at golden hour. Turtle nesting rules apply, we follow local timings.

  • Kalkan platforms and hotel beaches. Flat access, ladders into deep blue, lunch and shade when you want it.

Light hiking and short walks

  • Lycian Way tasters. Gentle sections with views and short climbs, then a ride back. Good picks, Kalkan to Kalamar ridge, Çavdır to Patara dunes, Üçağız to Kaleköy.

  • Delikkemer aqueduct. A quiet path along a Roman waterway. Short, pretty, no crowds.

  • Bezirgan Plateau and İslamlar. Cooler air above Kalkan, stone granaries, village lunch, easy trails under pines.

Ancient sites in open air

  • Xanthos and Letoon. UNESCO twin sites, inscriptions, theatres, calm fields.

  • Patara Ancient City. Council chamber, colonnaded street, lighthouse trail, pair with the beach.

  • Tlos and Pinara. Cliff tombs and mountain light. We add a farm lunch or a short waterfall stop.

Canyons, rivers, simple thrills

  • Saklıkent Gorge. Cold river, wooden walkways, short wades. Light lunch over the water.

  • Sea kayaking at Kekova. Glide over ruins, quiet, steady pace with a local guide.

  • Diving in Kaş. Clear sites for beginners and certified divers. We plan the day around the sea state.

Food and slow moments

  • Market to table. Shop with a cook, make a simple meze menu, eat together. Easy and real.

  • Olive oil and village tastings. Press visits, small flights, herbs and bread, a calm half day.

  • Sunset corners. Kalkan harbor steps, Kalamar Bay, a quiet roof terrace, sometimes the best plan is no plan.

Private experiences
Cooking with locals, olive oil tastings, pottery, guided heritage walks, light hiking with sea views. Groups stay small, the schedule stays sane.
